Nutritionally complete to provide a diet for the full range of Canary breeds. High in protein and low in carb, the ideal conditioning mix to bring birds into breeding conditions. A second and equally important consideration is the percentage of Canary seed to Rape seed. Canary seed, being a high carbohydrate , encourages breeding and egg laying before birds are really in breeding condition. Rape seed, high in protein will condition the birds without pushing them to lay eggs . Our Canola mix contains over 40% sweet Canola seed, thistle, Bee Pollen and six other grains, with a complete profile of vitamins, minerals, proteins, and amino acids. Feed from early December till mid February, or until about pairing. Feed again when you want to stop hens from breeding (laying).
